A Urologist is a medical specialist, who treats both medical and surgical conditions in men and women, of the kidney, bladder, prostate and male genital system.
These include problems such as infections, stones, and cancer.
To qualify as a urological surgeon, a doctor has to do at least five years post graduate surgical study, under the auspices of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in urological surgery and then undergo continued professional development under the supervision of the Urological Society of Australasia, and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
All recognised Specialist Urologists are members of the Urological Society of Australasia
